Looking for Dorothy…In Idaho!

Today was probably the most uneventful day we have had on this whole adventure.  We finally left Utah behind.  But before we did, we took one last hike up into an alpine forest to see a 560 year old ‘Limber Pine’ tree.  It was not that impressive but the ‘rock garden’ like wildflowers were.

So, with a ‘click of our heels’ we entered Idaho today…but I could not find Dorothy, Toto, the Tin Man, or the Straw Man.  When I mentioned this to Sue, she politely said “that was Kansas stupid…this is Idaho”!

We are staying tonight in the Montpellier KOA.  It is a tiny little park and we ‘scored’ a site right on a burbling brook.  Sue is a happy camper…even if she thinks I have gone off my rocker!

Distance Traveled = 169 km.  Wildlife Sightings = Eurasian-collared Dove, Yellow Warbler, Turkey Vulture, Bullock’s Oriole, Cedar Waxwing, American Robin.
