Into the Land of TRUMP

We were away by 9:00 am.  Wait a minute, that is irrelevant…we are not on bikes this time!  Good thing as I would have been complaining if we had been.

Our border crossing at Lewiston was uneventful.  The fools actually let us in!  The border guard was quite pleasant, something we have not always experienced in the past.

New York State looks a lot like Ontario with one exception.  A lot of houses were very run down and in some cases hard to tell if they were occupied or not.  We suspect most were.  I guess Trump’s booming economy has missed rural New York. (Okay, I promise to keep the Trump comments to a minimum from now on…or maybe not).

We are set up in Letchworth State Park.  We are told that it is beautiful but of course about 30 minutes before we arrived it began to rain and has continued.  The park is under water.  We were sent in to look for a site not under water, a tough chore.  Only about a half dozen sites fit the bill and we suspect that is about the total number of campers here tonight.  Rain, rain, go away, come back…never.  Thank good ness we are not on bikes!

Distance Travelled = 427 km.  Time on the Bikes = Old habits die hard!  Wildlife Sightings = Deer, Turkey Vultures, Blue Jays, Chipping Sparrows, Canada Geese, Tundra Swans, Phoebe, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Hooded Warbler.

Tacky!
